Outdoor Weekend

This weekend was jam packed with outdoor activities and we loved every minute of it.

Between a play date with my friend Ashley’s son Bash(Sebastian) and a birthday party for a baby from church, we spent a lot of time at a couple of parks. The weather was absolutely perfect for that this weekend.

We also attended a party on Saturday night for our friend Jessica’s 30th! I wish I had been more intentional about taking pics while we were there.

As you can see, this weekend involved a lot of swinging.

Our weekend wasn’t all play though. I got orders ready to ship out for my store, Forever Wild. http://www.foreverwildshop.com

I also introduced turbans to the shop and they are selling out fast.

Starting my own kids and ladies/mamas shop has been so much fun.

Friday Fun

Today started out with a weight check appointment for Harper. We overslept a bit, but somehow managed to make it out of the house and to the doctor on time.

Harper is very long and lean. She is 10.5 months old, almost 29 inches long, and as of today, 14.15 pounds. The doctor has been monitoring her weight since she is so skinny just to make sure that there isn’t anything to be concerned about, like if my milk supply had tanked.

Today was a huge relief! We were told we had nothing to worry about anymore and that she is probably just naturally skinny and hasn’t been gaining much weight because she is now so active. As of today she had gained 8oz since her last appointment two weeks ago. YAY!!!

I feel so blessed to have my worried mama mind finally put at ease after a few months of all of these weigh ins.

Harper hates these weigh ins just as much as we do!

We have had a crazy month so far. Literally, we have things going on almost every day this month. Because of this, and our upcoming crazy weekend, we enjoyed our few free hours at home today playing, and napping, and watching a little bit of Netflix.

We closed out today with a celebration at our church. We do a 10 week small group type thing that helps get people connected to Jesus and to our church, so the celebration was to close out the session.

I ended up having the absolute privilege to baptize two of my new friends. They had chosen to model their lives after Jesus a while ago, but tonight they decided to go public with their decisions and get baptized.

It has been awesome getting to know these ladies during the past few months, and it was so humbling and exciting to get to be a part their faith journeys.

This photo was taken at about 9:30PM, so Harper was completely done smiling for the day.

The rest of our weekend is jam packed with parties, church hangs, and sharing some meals with good friends. What are your weekend plans?

The Fashion Project

Last week I stumbled upon fashionproject.com and fell in love. If you love fashion but also love to give back, the Fashion Project is a win-win for you.

Basically, you request a donation kit which also comes with two pre labeled bags to fill up, fill them up with any clothes that you have that are on the approved designer list, and send them in.

The approved designer list is long and includes high end designers like Chanel, but also things like Anthropologie, J Crew, and BB Dakota. You can donate clothes, shoes, and accessories.

For every 5 items that you donate that get accepted, you will receive a $40 Nordstrom gift card. If you have 10 items that are accepted, you will get $80, and so on…

The coolest part is that when you sign up for your kit, you can choose what organization your donations will benefit. They have everything, like working wardrobes, animal rescue, and church food pantries. All donated items will be professionally photographed and posted online in the member only store.

The store is so rad. You can find great deals on used premium designers. A few things I found were a Free People military jacket for $19, and in the outlet section Prada pumps for $29!!!!! They even have some new with tag items.

I am so excited about this cool find. If you have any experience with Fashion Project, I would love to hear about it in the comment box below. Thanks for reading and happy donating and happy shopping.

XO, Sara
